God Bless my Soror!

They say people come into your life for a season, a reason, or a lifetime. Right now I am so glad to have met, befriended, and grown close to one of my sorority sisters. They say misery loves company, but this soror put aside her own dilemma because she received a calling to reach out to me! I feel so special, loved, and honored to have her as a friend right now.

For three hours today, we found the baby sitters, got a nice spot by the window in a local Starbucks, and were a comfort to one another. She counseled me, I counseled her, we shared our stories, frustrations, and disappoints in our lives. She reassured me that I am not alone, and I did the same.

I had been trying to get time with her for a while but life kept getting in the way, now by no coincidence we both found ourselves with time for ourselves, and it was just what we both needed. She even gave me homework to enrich and nourish me soul with being a bible toting fanatic. She let me know that God loves me and that I need to pray and allow myself to be open to him. It's sad to say that I don't think I have been.

Sigh.

I can do it. Just need to let go and let God!
