Directions to Long Island Children’s Museum (LICM)

From the North Shore

Meadowbrook Parkway South to exit M4 (Rte 24 West – Hempstead/Coliseum). Make the first right (before Hempstead Turnpike) onto “Chas Lindbergh Blvd.” The Nassau Coliseum will be on your left and Nassau Community College and Cradle of Aviation on your right. At the third traffic light turn right into LICM’s parking lot (the Museum is the orange & gray building on your right).

From the South Shore

Meadowbrook Parkway North to exit M4 (Rte 24 West – Hempstead/Coliseum). Go under the overpass and PAST the first turnoff (Hempstead Turnpike) Continue straight to second turnoff and bear right off the exit (Nassau Coliseum) and onto Charles Lindbergh Blvd. The Nassau Coliseum will be on your left and Nassau Community College and Cradle of Aviation on your right. At the third traffic light turn right into LICM’s parking lot (the Museum is the orange & gray building on your right).

From Hempstead Turnpike WEST

WEST—Go East on Hempstead Turnpike past Hofstra University to the first traffic light (McDonald’s on the right). Make a left turn onto Earle Ovington Blvd. Go to the third light, follow left-hand turn signs, make a left turn onto Charles Lindbergh Blvd. At the second light, turn right into LICM’s parking lot.

From Hempstead Turnpike EAST

EAST—Go West on Hempstead Turnpike past the Nassau Coliseum entrance to the first traffic light. (McDonald’s on the left). Make a right turn onto Earle Ovington Blvd. Go to the third light, follow left-hand turn signs, and make a left turn onto Charles Lindbergh Blvd. At the second light, turn right into LICM’s parking lot.

From Eastern Long Island

Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 42 to merge on to Northern State Parkway. Take Northern State to Exit 31A to merge on to Meadowbrook Parkway South. Proceed as below.

From Manhattan

Take the Long Island Expressway to exit 38 for Northern State Parkway. Take Northern State to exit 31A, which is the Meadowbrook Parkway South. Exit at M4 West and make the first right onto “Chas Lindbergh Boulevard.” Follow the directions above “from the North Shore.”

Take Grand Central Parkway which becomes Northern State in Nassau County. Exit at 31A, which is the Meadowbrook Parkway South. Exit at M4 West and make the first right onto “Chas Lindbergh Boulevard.” Follow the directions above “from the South Shore.”
