Happy Easter!!
My mother says my side effect to the Lupron could be a good thing, why you ask? Because I'm nauseous and barely have an appetite. I went out last night for a 60th birthday bash and it was completely buffet. I'm talking ribs, turkey and prime rib carving station, seafood medly, fried chicken, fried rice, rice & peas, oxtail, crudite', breads, cheeses, stir fried veggies...and more. And I barely wanted any!! Me not eat fried chicken?? C'mon! And I really tried too, put the old college try and only ended up making myself sick. Then it's now Easter Sunday, mom made a big pan of baked mac & cheese, my aunt made a huge turkey, more rice & peas, callaloo, plantain, etc. I loaded my plate but couldn't follow through, nausea strikes again! Now back to mom's comment, if this keeps up I will lose the weight...ugh! But hey that's a positive, right? =)
Just sharing my thoughts on motherhood, marriage, teaching high school English, natural hair, weight loss and weight gain and life... the highs, the lows, the good, the bad, and the mommy!...it's just me being me...take a look and see...you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll shake your head and sigh...and maybe just maybe, you'll learn something that you didn't know you needed to know.

Scared out of my gord!!
I wanted to seriously run out of my house screaming when the medication package arrived. It was in a box the size of 15inch tv screen. The first thing I had to do was immediately put the follistim medication in fridge. Then I looked to see if I had everything else: the follistim pen, the menapur, the HCG, the progesterone, the lupron, and......the GABILLION SYRINGES!!! I am so not exaggerating. When DH came home and saw the contents of the box, his exact words, "You sure you want to go through all of this pain?!!" So loving, I know! Anyway, he hugged me for a really long time after I stood there dumb struck, and finally said something a little more sensitive, "We will get through this." Much better right?
I am in hyperdrive now awaiting our injection class, tomorrow at 3:30. I also have a saline sonogram tomorrow morning, where I plan to ask them if I'm supposed to bring anything. So stay tuned...
