We just finished running some errands and are in the car on our way home. This is the conversation that I had the pleasure of overhearing:
Link: Maddy are you ok?
Maddy (monotone): Yes, Link I'm fine
Link: Are you sure? You sound sad or mad, which are you?
Maddy (still monotone): I'm fine.
Link: But you're really not because when you're angry or sad you talk slow and low, and when you're happy and excited you talk loud and fast. You're not loud and fast, so you're sad.
At this point she's thinking about it and I'm giggling in the front seat because he's dead on!! As it dawns on her how right her 3 year old brother is she starts laughing.
Link: See, now you are happy Maddy, right Mommy? Maddy's happy now!
Me: (cheesing from ear to ear): Yes, Link, I do believe Maddy is happy now!
From the mouths of babes!!!
Just sharing my thoughts on motherhood, marriage, teaching high school English, natural hair, weight loss and weight gain and life... the highs, the lows, the good, the bad, and the mommy!...it's just me being me...take a look and see...you'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll shake your head and sigh...and maybe just maybe, you'll learn something that you didn't know you needed to know.

Linky On Using The "Big Boy Potty"...
For 2012, I'm not buying any more pull-ups! Link has been peeing standing up since Christmas break, and no longer wants to use his potty. We also have the toddler potty seat that goes over the regular toilet, he also does not want to use that.
He says, "I'm a big boy and big boys use big things!"
I know, right?!
Then this weekend when getting ready to make a #2, he squealed, "My bambam doesn't like this big boy potty because it makes my bambam cold!"
When I asked him, "Well, Link now that you're using the big boy potty, it will be cold most of the time, what are you going to do?"
With a huge kool-aid smile, he said, "Don't worry about mom, I will just warm my bambam!"
And with that he stood up and proceeded to rub his little butt for about a minute, proudly proclaimed, "It's warm now, so I can go ahead and finish what I started!"
You can't make these things up!!
