I can't believe it's been 2 months already!! He's pushing 10 pounds which is a little over double his birth weight of 4lbs 12ozs. He's cooing, laughing (and by laugh I mean that silent open mouth chuckle they do), smiling at me, and following me and the sound of my voice around the room. Not bad for premie, huh? Plus, he picks up his head, tries to stand on his little legs if you're holding him upright on you, he figured out he has thumbs and can spend 20 minutes at a time either staring at them as they move or trying to getting in his mouth, he can scoot on his belly, if he's on his side, he can flip to his back, and as of today he can hold his rattle for a good 5 minutes.
And if you can believe it, Lincoln has pink eye! Yup, something about the formation of the tear ducts sometimes getting clogged and infected. It's not red, just really goopy. We're on day 3 of the eye drops and it's getting better. Now it just gets goopy after he cries or takes a nap, instead of the previous non-stop goop.
