I'm laying on the cot, fist pumping as my blood filters out to save some lives today. I'm always overcome with joy as our school still holds the lead for #1 school donator site!! My heart fills every time I see one of my students get escorted in. I always offer bonus points to students that donate, and I had a kid walk up and say, "Miss, you don't have to give me bonus points, it's nothing to give a little of myself to save someone else." If I wasn't plugged in, I would have jumped up and hugged him!
Yes, people it takes a few moments of your time to save up to 3 lives...Go out and save a life today!!

That is so awesome. I haven't donated blood in several years. I need to look into doing it again. And that kid who said he didn't need the points sounds so sweet.
@Ms. U-It definitely is a reward within itself!
This is a good reminder... Me and Thea (wife) usually do one community service act monthly. I think we'll put together a local blood drive in a couple months. If we decide to do that I'll update you.
