SUCCESSFUL EGG RETRIEVAL!!!

I'm in mild agony as I sit at work waiting for my first period class to start in a few minutes. My co-worker who's been covering my 3rd period class was shocked to see me here. I'm shocked to be here myself considering the pain. Unfortunately, with the Dpt. of Ed, I only have 7 days in my bank and I don't want to risk using them all up before I know what's going to happen next week with the ET (Egg Transfer).
The ER was yesterday at 8am, and we arrived as asked by 7am to sign the consent forms to freeze any remaining embryos, etc. I was the very first patient since I have a latex allergy, and they told me that I will always be first because they have to make sure the lab is completely latex free (I felt very special in a scary kinda way, you know?) Anyway, when they finally called us in, I was told to empty my bladder, undress, and put on the gown with the opening to the front like a robe. Then the nurse on duty asked me a million questions, which were then repeated by the anesthesiologist. After that my IV was put in my right hand (ouch) while DH held my left hand. Shortly after that the lab technician nurse came over to escort me into the lab, I kissed DH, she grabbed a hot blanket and we were off. DH was then led to the Boom Boom room to make his deposit. I was then put on what looked like half of an examination table, told to literally let my bum hang off the edge while they put my legs in the stirrups. The anesthesia was then adminitered through the IV, and the last thing I remember is the nurse telling me, "Close your eyes and think of some place special you want to be." I thought of holding my future babies (really stuck on the idea of twins, I think)...anyhoo. I awoke moaning and crying with DH already holding my hand. I was told of the 12 eggs, they were able to retrieve 8. My left ovary was noncompliant so 6 follicles from my right ovary and 2 from my left. (The woman in the bed next to me retrieved 10, DH told me on the drive home so my number was a good average) I spent about 40 minutes in and out of conscienceness and they upped my pain meds once for me before they took the IV out. Once they were sure that I was ready to go home, I got dressed, was given my instructions for the next few days, and was told they'd either see me Sunday or Tuesday for the Egg Transfer.
I've been eating my pineapples and drinking my grape juice to help those little embies stick!! I am excited and anxious and I keep hearing songs at certain points on the radio that keep telling me to be happy, and that's exactly what I'm going to do...and rest!

Keep ya posted soon.
